ALIA Prod wishes everyone in our performing arts community a Happy New Year. After an eye-opening trip to Zimbabwe earlier this fall, we are re-invigorated and refreshed by the waters of the great Zambezi River, and look forward to many more musical delights and community engagement activities with all of our artists and this performing arts community.
We are looking forward to the debut tour of the marvelous suka ensemble from Poland, Maria Pomianowska and ReBorn. Check out her fascinating story in resurrecting a forgotten medieval instrument that is considered by many to be the pre-cursor to the violin. They debut at the prestigious Lincoln Center FestivalJuly 25th, and follow that up with an appearance at the Kennedy Center's Millenium stage Aug 2. There are more dates scheduled for September and October, so stay tuned for updates soon.
